With one mixtape/street album already under his belt and another on the way, central Florida rapper Pola releases new single and video “Go Hard”
Lakeland, Florida- Central Florida’s biggest secret and So Dope Records artist Pola continues his takeover of the rap game with the release of new single and video “Go Hard” from forthcoming mixtape If The Truth Be Told Vol. 1: Inspired by the Hatred hosted by DJ Smallz due midsummer. The record features and is produced by L of L&L Productionz and video was directed by DNA Videos and filmed on the sandy shores of West Palm Beach and Miami.
“’Go Hard’ is a motivational song for people who know what it’s like to experience the streets in all aspects,” says Pola, who has been running the streets since adolescence. “I made this song to let my label and my fans know that I’m all in and I will do nothing less than go hard.
Born in the Sunshine State the son of a well-known hustler, 27-year-old Elijah Harris has been exposed to the streets since he was an adolescent. From dealing drugs to the loss of loved ones to violence and even a prison stint on drug charges, Pola has seen all sides of the game. And he writes his rhymes for those who have followed in the footsteps of his difficult upbringing.
Now with the street life in his rearview, he is set to have the world hooked on his masterful, straightforward flow and hard-hitting beats. Pola hit the regional music scene hard in 2010 with the release of his debut mixtape/street album Well Connected. Laced with throbbing production, chopped-and-screwed undertones and lyrics drenched in street life, the well-received project helped Pola stake his claim in the music industry.
Perfectly poised and ready to take the music world by storm, Pola models his style after rap greats like Tupac and Scarface with the release of forthcoming SoDope Records mixtape If The Truth Be Told Vol. 1: Inspired by the Hatred hosted by DJ Smallz due midsummer.
“If the Truth Be Told is a collection of stories from my real life,” Pola explains, “who I am as a person, what I’ve been through and most importantly what my family has been through.”
The mixtape is fueled by his newest single and video “Go Hard.” But aside from the debut single, the mixtape contains a collection of videos set to be released off of the project, including bangers like “Work” featuring Fella and “I Made It” featuring Mic-Lo.
“’Go Hard’ is only the beginning,” says Pola. “Music is like everything else I’ve done in life. When I’m into something, I’m all in.”
