This is the 1st single from the forthcoming Traffic Kings mini-movie & soundtrack, set to release this summer. Over uptempo production of quirky synthesizers and bottomless bass, the two shot callers make it thunderstorm in the club, buy out the bar and roll fancy cars atop a radio-friendly track produced by rapidly rising beat junkie DJ Young Cuba, the highly anticipated single is set to release on Tuesday February 14. Tampa, Florida – Central Florida native son Famous Kid Brick has got to be one of the most opportunistic figures in independent hip hop right now.
Scheduled to bring down the house during WiLD 94.1’s annual WiLD Splash 2012 Spring Break concert in Clearwater, Florida at Coachman Park on Saturday, March 10, 2012, the Hussch Boy Recording artist will be sharing the stage with such hip hop heavyweights as Bad Boy Records’ newest sensation Machine Gun Kelly, Atlanta’s rapidly rising poster child Future and even the dog himself DMX.
Kicking off at 1 p.m., more than 15,000 fans will fill the waterfront park for a day-long musical adventure. The festival marks the second major concert that WiLD 94.1 has added Famous Kid Brick to the lineup. The rising star’s animated performance at Tampa’s Last Damn Show 13 in November was so awe inspiring that the station asked him to perform again this Spring.
“With the show that Famous Kid Brick and the Hussch Boy crew put on, you totally forget that it’s a local artist performance,” says Orlando Davis, WiLD program director.
It was during that show that Brick debuted his latest single “Lucy Nikki,” that is now in rotation on WLLD and starting to pick up on mixshow throughout the state. This is now the 3rd single Famous Kid Brick has had on the radio in less than one year. “This new Hip-Pop record is a little different than what most artists are putting out these days,” Brick admits. “In this industry you have to be innovative and willing to step outside of the box, and that’s what I did with Lucy Nikki.”
